Operation Overflow

While Operation Overflow (a volunteer-run program) is currently suspended, the Seasonal Winter Shelter is being operating at Trinity by the local Y staff. People looking for a bed must call 211. The shelter hours are from 7pm to 8am, and it will run now through April 15, 2025.

Operation Overflow an emergency shelter that opens its doors to the homeless on nights when the local shelter is full. Our mission is to provide those in need of a warm safe place to spend the night during the coldest months of winter.

Founded in the fall of 2003, the program seeks to ensure that all who wish a warm, safe place to shelter for the night have one available to them. Staffed entirely by volunteers, the program is hosted by local houses of faith, including Trinity.

Trinity not only hosts the program (with Northwest Hills Community Church and First United Methodist Church), but was the founding movement behind it, continuing to assist and support as the programs grows and evolves year to year.
