The Campaign For Trinity
Reaching up to the roof, out to our neighbors
“Reaching Up to the Roof and Out to Our Neighbors” is a campaign for necessary capital improvements to Trinity’s physical plant. These improvements are essential to allowing the parish to continue God’s work in Torrington - hence our theme of reaching up and out.
The campaign received approximately $500,000 in pledges from the congregation and community. Despite the campaign being 3 years in duration, more than half of those pledges were paid in full within the first eight months.
A new roof has been installed on the sanctuary, clerestory stained glass windows have been restored, a new ramp for accessibility has been constructed, exterior doors have been improved, exterior wood replaced and painted, plaster restored and water incursion stopped. Restoration of additional stained glass windows is planned. In addition, pledged monies have been designated for a restricted capital repair and improvement account for future use.
The Capital Campaign is in its third year, and we are still accepting and processing donations for Maintenance and for the Upper Parish Hall renovation.
